Liars ~ Part 1

I find myself unable to watch the parade of unrepentant liars constantly before the cameras or Congress showing their fealty to Donald Trump. From Blanche, to Clayton, to Hegseth, to Vance, to Rubio, and to Miller. Yet, I am further surprised and distressed by those that believe their lies. People that profess a belief in Jesus yet endorse one who lives a life that has no part in Him and feels he has nothing to repent of. Rather than bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ they choose to believe the lies and the liar.

Genesis 3 tells us the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field. He tells Eve that eating the forbidden fruit will not cause her to die. This lie, accepted by Eve and Adam, brought great judgement from the Lord. When we stand before the Lord, will we say the serpent deceived me? That won’t work. It didn’t then.

We see so many that profess to be Christians, or that purport to be Christian leaders, do their best to give credence to the continuing lies from leaders in our country. 2 Corinthians 11 speaks of deceitful workers who act and speak as if they represent Christ. They do not. We are warned that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light, so it is no great thing if his ministers transform themselves into ministers of righteousness. They are liars. They serve the father of lies. Their end will be according to their works. So have no part with them.

Beware of liars looking for standing, wealth, power and control. They purposely lie and invoke the name of God to justify their ventures. They seek to use godliness as a means of gain. 1 Timothy tells us to withdraw from such people. To flee from people that are of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth. They have given heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Yet too many still support, either vocally or by being silently complicit, a man who walks knowingly with darkness. A man who looks to lead us into destruction for the power he covets and the evil one who willingly gives him what he needs to do this.

It is incumbent on us to recognize truth from a lie. If we say we follow Christ and at the same time listen to that which flows so easily from Trump and those that support him, then we reject God’s words. We then have no part in Him. We cannot choose only part of what the Lord speaks. Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” Pray without ceasing. There are those I pray for that cause my heart to break. Corral them, Lord. Seek His truth in all things. Stand. Blessings.
